Manu Complete Birding Tour (10 Days) — the most complete Manu birding experience
This is our flagship birdwatching itinerary in Manu. The 10-day complete birding tour is designed for serious birders and photographers who want the widest habitat coverage possible—from Andean transitions to cloud forest, warm Amazon lowlands, and crucially, overnights in the Manu Reserved Zone. More habitats and more time typically means more diversity, better light windows, and repeated attempts for key targets.
We cannot guarantee specific species, but this itinerary is built to maximize opportunities by combining habitat transitions, early starts, and prime birding hours across multiple ecosystems.

10-day itinerary (typical birding structure)
This itinerary is flexible by design. Birding success often depends on timing, weather windows, and repeated attempts. Exact route and overnights can vary with access conditions and lodge availability.
- Days 1–2: Cusco → habitat transitions → early birding sessions in higher and mid elevations.
- Days 3–4: Cloud forest focus: mixed flocks, canopy birding, and strategic viewpoints.
- Days 5–6: Descent to warmer Amazon zones: foothills/lowland birding and river-edge habitats.
- Days 7–8: Manu Reserved Zone birding time + key lowland habitats (best diversity windows).
- Days 9–10: Final birding sessions → return to Cusco.
For the best results, we recommend bringing binoculars, camera rain protection, and sharing your target list in advance.
